1966 Mustang Disk Brake Conversion
The fastback came with four-wheel non-assisted drums. The stopping power was... unimpressive. Fitting the spindles and rotors from
a 1979 Mercury Monarch was straightforward, with the following exceptions:
- hub diameter on the rotors much larger than the drums - needed newer wheels
- outer tie rods from the Monarch had a greater overall length, prevented setting toe-in - had to trim them, and their adjusting sleeves
- bending brake lines for the new master cylinder
